How do I tint car windows?

I want to tint my car windows to make a blacked-out look on my car. The only problem is that I’ve never tinted car windows before. My friend said it’s pretty easy, but I’m not exactly handy. How can I tint my car windows?

If you’re looking to enhance the look of your car with
modifications
or upgrades, a blacked-out look is a great option. But tinting your windows adds a one-two punch of functionality and style. To tint car windows, follow these steps:
  • Check your state’s laws to choose the right level of visible light transmission.
  • Choose the tint you want. Options include metal, carbon, and dyed tinting films.
  • Clean both the inside and outside of your windows with window cleaner. Let them air dry.
  • Measure your windows and cut the tinting film to the desired dimensions. Trim off any excess.
  • Peel back the layer of the film and spray on the application solution.
  • Press the tinting into place and use a squeegee to help it adhere and remove any air bubbles.
