How do I take the hood off a car in GTA V?
I’ve installed some sick mods on my engine in GTA V, but nobody really knows unless I stop and raise the hood. Is there a way to just remove the hood from my car so everything under there is always visible?

Well, it just wouldn’t be GTA if getting your hood off was as simple as just using a wrench, would it? Nope—taking the hood off your car in GTA V will require a suppressed sniper rifle, a bit of determination, and some fancy driving.
First, make sure you’re not currently wanted—you’ll need a couple of minutes to do this, and it’ll be easier if you’re not looking over your shoulder. Once you’re free of wanted stars, drive to a fairly inconspicuous location, take out your suppressed sniper rifle, and shoot the top corners of your car’s hood just below the windshield. The goal here is to aim for the hinges. You’ll know you’ve hit them when the hood pops up a bit.
So that’s it for the rifle and the determination—now it’s time for the fancy driving! Actually, all you need to do now is hit the gas. Your hood will fly open and, after a second or two, it will eventually just fly off.
If you’re driving a fancy car, like a Banshee, you’ll have to reverse the process by aiming for the hood-hinges located at the front of the car and driving off as fast as you can in reverse.
