How do I take someone off my car insurance?

What’s the easiest way to remove someone from my car insurance? My sister was on mine, but she just got her own car. How do I take her off my policy?

“To take someone off your
car insurance
, you’ll need to contact your car insurance company.
Whether you’ll be able to remove your sister or not will depend on the situation. If your sister lives with you, your car insurance company may require that she be listed on the policy. However, if she lives with you but will never drive your vehicle, you may be able to list her as an
excluded driver
, which will likely lower your premium.
Note that when a driver is excluded from your insurance, they don’t have coverage under your policy. If they get into an accident with your vehicle, your policy would not cover any of the damage or injuries that they cause. So if you think there may be a possibility that she will drive your vehicle, it is probably best to leave her on your policy.
If your sister doesn’t live with you, your insurance company should have no issue with you removing her from your policy.
