Loose shopping carts can be a menace! It’s a common parking lot problem, but luckily, you can take a dent out of your car door by using some supplies you likely have at home.
  • A toilet plunger: This is better for small or medium-sized dents that are somewhat round in shape. Wet the plunger and the area around the dent to make sure you have a tight seal, then push and pull until the dent pops up.
  • A blowdryer: Apply heat with a blowdryer and compressed air. Aim the blowdryer, on its hottest setting, at the dent until the surface is heated. Then, spray a can of compressed air on the dent. The combination of hot and cold should pop the dent right out.
If these methods don’t work, you’ll likely need to visit an
auto body repair shop
to get the dent professionally removed.
