After years of service, I am replacing my old Camaro with a newer model. How do I switch my insurance to another car?

“Sorry to hear about your Camaro. It’s always thought to say goodbye to a reliable vehicle, especially one with the brawny performance of a Camaro. But the good news: switching your insurance to a different car is easy, although it may lead to a change in your rates. But don’t stress. We’ve got you covered!
After you acquire
a new car
, you will have a grace period from your insurance company to get the new vehicle registered with your insurance. The length of the grace period varies between carriers. Generally speaking, it’s usually between seven and 30 days, which should give you enough time to make the transition.
When you’re ready to switch, call your insurance agent or use their website. You will need to provide information about the car, such as its VIN number and registration, to make the switch.
Be warned: car insurance may cost more than the old car. This is because the higher the value of the car and the higher it costs to fix it. In addition, you should brace yourself for more expensive insurance if you finance a new car as the lender will require full coverage auto insurance.
If you’re unhappy with your new prices when you talk to your current provider, consider switching policies with insurance broker
