How do I support my baby's head in a car seat?

What's the best way to provide proper head and neck support for an infant in their car seat? I have a newborn child and it's my first. She's old enough to start traveling with me on errands and I want to make sure she's secure.

“To keep your baby’s head supported in a car seat, make sure that the car seat is installed and angled correctly in the backseat of your vehicle.
Aside from that, you shouldn’t so much worry about the head going to the left or right. Instead, make sure that it doesn’t move forward by tightening the harness straps until they are snug. For additional peace of mind, you can purchase neck braces that go inside the car seat to further stabilize your precious cargo.
It goes without saying that you should always practice

, as well. Bonus—drivers who do so can typically save money on their car insurance. Then, you can redirect that extra cash to baby’s college fund!
