How do I stop travel sickness in a car?
I have a seven-year-old who often gets sick when we’re driving in the car. She doesn’t just get woozy; she usually throws up. Cleaning and traveling has become a burden because of this issue. How can I prevent travel sickness when traveling in a car?

We’re sorry that your kiddo is having a rough time in the car. Many little kids get travel sickness in a car, but a recurring situation is certainly something you want to resolve.
To stop car sickness when you’re driving around, follow one or more of these tips:
- Break long road trips up into shorter jaunts.
- Encourage your child to look out the window rather than staring at a phone, tablet, or video game.
- Give your child a small snack and drink before you drive rather than a big meal.
- Listen to music, sing songs, or play games to distract your child.
- Use child-friendly antihistamines to prevent travel sickness and vertigo.
