How do I stop back sweat while driving?

I live in Florida. Since it’s hot all the time, I often get a disgusting amount of back sweat while I’m driving—regardless of whether I have the air conditioner on. Are there any ways to avoid back sweat while I’m driving?

The heat and humidity in
Florida
can definitely lead to excessive back sweat. Your car’s air conditioning should help, but if it’s not working well for you, try these tips:
  • Purchase a seat cover made of mesh. Mesh is breathable and should allow sweat to dry more easily while also keeping your back cooler.
  • Put antiperspirant on your back. If application to your back is difficult, have a spouse or friend help you. (You’ll really get to know who your true friends are this way.)
  • Buy a wooden bead seat cover. Wooden bead seat covers give you a nice massage while you drive while also allowing air to circulate. With this extra air circulation, you might sweat less.
If none of the options above work, consider carrying a towel and an extra shirt with you. Once you get to your destination, towel off and put on the new shirt.
