How do I speed up the auto insurance claim process so I can stop living off my savings?

"I've been out of work for almost six months after being injured in a car accident and losing my job. The other driver was intoxicated and at fault for the accident.

How can I speed up the claim process? I'm living off my savings right now and I don't want to run out of money. "

“Unfortunately, there is no way to speed up
car insurance
claims. When an accident happens, adjusters from both insurance companies are required to look at the damage and accident details.
Once they determine liability, the at-fault party’s insurance needs to work on a settlement amount. This means that they’ll have to look at the value of your car and damages, as well as any other costs you incurred.
From there, they’ll need to see what the at-fault party’s
bodily injury liability
and
property damage liability
limits are. They will offer you a settlement amount based on this.
Depending on what they offer, you can either accept the money or choose to negotiate. If you do choose to negotiate, it can delay the process, but it would ensure you’d get an amount you feel is fair. “
