How do I soften old leather car seats?

Can old leather car seats be softened? I want to try to soften the seats in my car to make it look newer.

“Sure you can! You can easily soften hard leather seats by following the steps below:
  1. Use a leather cleaner to clean the surface of your seats.
  2. Grab a dampened rag and wipe down your seats with saddle soap. Wipe dry when you’re finished.
  3. Using circular motions, rub in color restorer with a clean rag.
Optional step: If you have dark leather, rub mink oil on your seats with a clean rag. Be sure not to use mink oil on other shades, as it can stain light-colored leather.
Taking care of your leather seats is important to ensure their longevity and to avoid costly repairs.
