How do I show the rental agency that I already have insurance for the rental car?

What will a rental car agency accept as proof of coverage? I told them that my insurance company would cover any accidents with my rental, but they require "proof." I don't know what I’m supposed to send them.

Answer
In most cases, showing your car insurance ID cards will prove to a company that you are, in fact, insured.
However, an ID card would only indicate that you have liability coverage on your policy, which means they could still pressure you to purchase additional comprehensive and collision coverage.
To make things easier for yourself, you should show the agency a binder letter or a declaration page. Both these forms will describe your liability coverage and the physical damage coverage limits on your policy.
You can request a binder or a declaration page from your insurance agent or by downloading it instantly from their website.
