I have a newer-model Accord that has adaptive cruise control, but I’m not sure how to use it. How do I set the cruise control on my Honda Accord?

Adaptive cruise control is a great safety feature that brakes if you get too close to other cars. Now the only obstacle you need to overcome is setting it!
To set the cruise control on a Honda Accord, follow these steps:
  • Drive a steady speed that you want the car to maintain.
  • Push the cruise button on the steering wheel.
  • You should see a light on the instrument cluster that says Cruise Main.
  • Press the Decel/Set button on the steering wheel.
  • You should see a light on the instrument cluster that reads Cruise Control.
  • Take your foot off of the accelerator.
If done correctly, your car should maintain the speed you selected. On top of that, you can increase speed by pressing and holding Accel on the steering wheel or decrease speed by pressing and holding Decel.
While adaptive cruise control can keep you safe, don’t let that be the only thing that protects you behind the wheel. Instead, shop great car insurance rates with the
