How do I set stations on a JVC car radio?
I finally changed out my old car radio for a new in-dash one that my buddies recommended, but I'm having a hard time setting it up. I haven’t found any good breakdowns online on pre-setting my stations and I would appreciate a simple explanation. How do I set stations on my JVC car radio?

Now that the hard part of installing the radio is out of the way, you can breathe easy as setting stations on your JVC car radio is fairly easy. All you have to do is:
- Turn the radio on.
- Press Skip Right.
- Hold down the volume knob until Preset Mode appears.
The Power button is connected to the Volume knob in the upper left corner. Hold that down for a few seconds. You’ll know your radio is on once the LED lights appear.
Then make sure you are on the desired frequency (AM, FM, or SiriusXM). To do this, simply press the Skip Right button (located directly below the Power button). Your screen should display which frequency you are currently on as well as the channel.
Depending on the model of JVC radio you have, you will need to do one of the following:
- While listening to a station, hold the numbered button you wish to set that channel to.
- Press and hold down the Volume knob until “Preset Mode appears on the display.
- Use the Volume knob to locate the desired preset number, then press the knob.
If you did all of that correctly, you should be tuned in to the middle of your favorite radio station right now!
