How do I reset the oil life on a Honda Pilot from 2006?

I’ve been fixing up a 2006 Honda Pilot EX for the last couple of months, and it’s almost ready to hit the road. I did all the required maintenance, and the engine is running well, but I can’t figure out how to turn off the service light. How do I reset the oil life light in your Honda Pilot from 2006?

Congratulations on fixing up your 2006
Honda Pilot EX
! I’m sure you’re excited to hit the road as soon as possible.
Luckily, you can follow these steps to quickly reset the oil life on a Honda Pilot from 2006:
  1. Turn the key until the ignition is in the on position, but do not start the engine.
  2. Press the select/reset button until oil life is displayed. Typically, the button is located near the fuel gauge or on the steering wheel.
  3. Hold the select/reset button for ten seconds and release it when the screen blinks.
  4. Hold the select/reset button again for five seconds and release it when the code disappears.
  5. Check to make sure the maintenance light is off and the oil life is at 100%.
Once you’re confident the vehicle is road-ready, don’t forget to have it inspected and
