How do I reset the maintenance light on a 2000 Honda Accord?
How do I turn off the maintenance light on a Honda Accord? My uncle and I are working on fixing my old Accord with the hopes of getting it to run again. He just changed the oil and wants me to reset the maintenance light, but I’ve never worked on an older vehicle before, so I’m not sure how to do that.

Resetting the maintenance light on an older
Honda Accord
might seem tricky, but I can assure you it’s not very complicated. To reset the maintenance light on a 2000 Honda Accord, you will need to:- Put the key in the ignition (but don’t turn on the car) and press the Select/Reset switch on the dashboard.
- Hold the button and turn on the vehicle. Don’t start the car. Hold the switch for at least 10 seconds until you see the maintenance indicator reset.
- Release the button and turn off the car.
- Start the car to check if the maintenance light reset.
