How do I reset Bluetooth on a Dodge Journey?

My son took my Dodge Journey for a spin yesterday, and I think he must have messed with the Bluetooth because now my phone isn’t pairing to my car. How can I reset it?

Classic son behavior! You can reset Bluetooth on a Dodge Journey by resetting the Uconnect system.
You’ll want to consult your vehicle’s Owner’s Manual for detailed instructions on how to reset the system since steps can vary based on the Uconnect version you have. That said, here is a general overview of how to reset Bluetooth:
  • While sitting in your Dodge Journey, turn the key in the ignition but leave the car in park.
  • Press the volume button and tuner knob simultaneously for about 10 to 20 seconds.
  • The Uconnect touchscreen display will start flashing the word “Dodge” and then go dark.
  • Wait a few moments until “Dodge” reappears on the screen and then the Uconnect system returns you to the main screen.
There you have it! This should resolve any issues you’re having with Bluetooth connection, navigation, and Uconnect without wiping the system of all the settings you’ve programmed thus far. That said, remember to exercise caution when resetting the Uconnect system. An improper reset can wipe system upgrades and personalizations you may have enabled.
Keep in mind that if you don’t feel confident resetting Bluetooth on your own, you can always schedule an appointment with a technician at a Dodge service center near you. Best of luck!
