How do I repair a car window tint that's peeling? I got my windows tinted a while ago and now they're starting to peel. Any advice?

Window tint starts to peel when the glue dries out and hardens due to sun exposure.
You can easily repair peeling tint by doing the following:
  1. Cut the section of the tint that is peeling with a razor blade.
  2. Remove the peel by spraying with distilled water. Insert your razor blade between the tint and glass to peel the damaged tint from the glass.
  3. Clean off the excess glue and let it dry.
  4. Cut some tint film about a half-inch larger than the damaged section.
  5. Spray the window again with water and apply the tint to the wet glass.
  6. Finish up by using a squeegee to remove air bubbles and remove any excess film.
When in doubt, contact your local car detailer to fix the tint for you.
Whether you’re driving a new or old car, be sure to keep it protected with the right car insurance policy.
