How do I remove wax from a car windscreen?

I always take my car through an automatic wash and wax cycle. Usually, I have no issues. But recently, I’ve noticed quite a bit of wax buildup on the windscreen. How can I remove the wax from my windshield?

Although convenient, automatic car washes often cause a waxy buildup on your windshield, especially if you use them frequently. But if you weren’t aware and now need to remove wax from your car’s windscreen, don’t stress—cola or degreaser can usually solve the problem.
Simply follow these steps:
  • Soak a towel with either cola or degreaser.
  • Using circular motions, wipe the cola or degreaser onto the windshield until the wax dissolves.
  • Dry the glass with a microfiber cloth or a paper towel.
For good measure, soak some cotton balls in rubbing alcohol and wipe down your windshield wipers. This will prevent any wax on the blades from getting back on your windscreen.
