How do I remove the hardtop from my Ford Thunderbird?

I just bought a 2005 Ford Thunderbird because I love the retro styling. It’s the hardtop version, but I’m not sure how to take the top off. How can I take it off with ease?

Congratulations on your new purchase! The Thunderbird is a classic! If you want to remove the hardtop, you will only need a screwdriver and a willing friend.
Start by clearing a space to store the hardtop. The best way to keep the top from getting scratched while keeping it protected is to put some cardboard down in the garage and set the top on the cardboard.
Once you’ve cleared some storage space, grab a Phillips head screwdriver. Get into the passenger’s seat and look for a screw at the top right corner of the windshield. Remove the screw and do the same for the driver’s side.
Next, find a friend to help you remove the top. Go into the inside of the car and push the top as far back as it will go. Have your friend grab one side while you grab the other side and slowly walk the top back. It should come right out without too much hassle or wiggling. Finally, put the hardtop on the cardboard, and voila! You have a top-down convertible!
Since the Ford Thunderbird is such a cool car, protect it appropriately with the right
