How do I remove sunscreen from my car's interior?

I was putting sunscreen on in my car, and I didn't notice that I spilled a ton of it on the seats until hours later! How do I get this sunscreen off the seats and interior?

I’m sorry about the spill, but glad to say that it will be easy to clean! Since the sunscreen has only been on the seats for a few hours, you can use a leather or upholstery cleaner and a microfiber towel. Just dab away at the sunscreen to gently remove it!
If the sunscreen is caked on or has dried, though, you still have options! Here’s what to do:
  • Use an all-purpose interior car cleaner to start
  • Buff it with the microfiber towel
  • Apply the leather or upholstery cleaner to remove the rest of it
  • Let it dry
  • Repeat the process if necessary.
If it leaves a permanent stain, check out your

to see if your damage is covered.
If you’re not covered for sunscreen damage, you may want to add comprehensive coverage to your policy. To do this easily, check out the

Best of luck, and happy cleaning!
