Dealing with any type of
scratch
on your vehicle is not fun. Thankfully, there is a way you can remove fine scratches from your vehicle’s front glass.
The safest option is to visit a
body shop
and let a professional take care of it. That said, if you would like to save on the cost and perform a temporary fix, you can try the following method to remove those scratches.
  • Step one: Mix one part baking soda and one part water to make a thin paste.
  • Step two: Locate the scratches you would like to repair. Apply the paste over these areas. Use a clean microfiber cloth to rub the paste in circular motions.
  • Step three: Alternate between rubbing the paste into the scratches several times and rinsing the paste with water and a clean cloth. Continue this process until the scratch is no longer visible.
  • Step four: Use a clean microfiber towel to wipe down the windshield.
Voila—no more scratches!
If you have deeper scratches on your windshield that’s impacting your ability to see, you’ll want to visit a repair shop ASAP. They can repair or replace your front glass.
Should you not have glass coverage already or are looking for a way to reduce repair costs in the future, consider adding
comprehensive coverage
or full glass coverage.
