How do I remove gum from car paint?

Someone stuck their chewed up gum to my car at the grocery store! How do I remove the gum from my car paint?

Oh no, people are the worst sometimes! Luckily, you can use some household supplies to freeze and harden the gum, so it comes off your car easily.
Here are the materials you’ll need:
  • Ice cube
  • Sealable plastic baggie
  • Single-edged razor blade or box cutter for a glass surface
  • Stiff plastic card (grocery store card, credit card, or ID) or plastic putty knife for painted or chrome surface
Step 1: Put the ice cube in the plastic baggie. Seal the baggie to keep the water from dripping down the side of the car as the ice cube melts. Step 2: Hold the ice cube on the gum. Leave it there for a few minutes until the gum gets hard and brittle. Step 3: Slide the plastic card, putty knife, or razor blade under the edge of the gum. Twist the card, putty knife, or razor blade to pop the gum off.
Now that the gum is taken care of, consider what you’d do if you were stuck on the side of the road. With Jerry in your pocket, you’ll never have to worry about being stranded again. Jerry’s roadside assistance includes jump starts, lockout service, key replacement, and towing.
