How do I remove grease stains from my car exterior?

I took my car to the mechanic to get some work done. The next day, I noticed a giant smudge of grease on the exterior of my car. I’ve never had to remove grease before, so I’m at a loss. How can I get rid of grease stains from my car’s exterior?

Grease is pesky! And although getting rid of
grease and oil stains
is a bit trickier than other stains, all you need is a towel, dish soap, water, and WD-40.
To remove the grease stains from your car exterior, follow these steps:
  • Wet the stained area with water.
  • Put some dish soap on a microfiber towel.
  • Rub it into the grease spot and repeat the process to remove the stain.
  • Rinse off the soap.
  • If the soap doesn’t work, spray WD-40 onto the affected area.
  • Wipe away with a rag and repeat the WD-40 spray until the grease is gone.
