We get it, a foggy windshield can make for a slow morning. If your windshield is fogging up—in either hot or cold weather—there are a few easy fixes.
To defog your windshield, you’ll need to get the inner and outer temperatures closer together.
In hot weather, use your windshield wipers to get rid of excess condensation on the windshield. Then, turn down your A/C to make the interior of your car warmer. It’s also a good idea to leave your car’s recirculation feature on, which will help stabilize the temperature.
In cold weather, first, try using your defroster. If this doesn’t work, turn the heat to its maximum setting. Then, turn on the A/C (yes, really) to pull moisture from the air as it passes through. Finally, turn on the recirculation so colder air is brought into the vehicle, which will make the air in the vehicle match the air outside of it, which will help get rid of the fog.
