How do I remove dog hair from the fabric in my car?
My dog sheds like crazy in my car; I love him, but it's kind of gross, and I really like a clean car. What's the best way to remove dog hair from the fabric of my car?

“Four-legged friends are wonderful, but they can definitely be messy! Luckily, getting rid of dog hair is fairly easy—here’s how:
- Rub a pumice stone or a specialized dog hair remover against the pet hair to remove it from the seat.
- Wipe it away with a rag.
- Repeat as necessary.
Preventing dog hair from accumulating is the best way to keep a clean car as a pet owner. Putting down a protective cover or a blanket are both easy (and washable!) options to keep in mind for the future.
If you drive with your dog regularly, remember to keep him properly secured, either by a crate or a tether—some companies even make car seats for dogs! Letting your pup run wild in the backseat might seem like a relief from his whining and pawing at crate bars—but dogs running around in cars is actually a common
cause of car accidents
. Keeping your pup restrained not only keeps you both safe, but also ensures that he’s not able to cause any damage in the backseat while you’re driving. If he does do any damage, check with your insurance—they sometimes include pets in their coverage.
