Removing decals from your car is a great way to return your car to like-new condition. Fortunately, it’s far easier to do than you might think.
To remove decals without damaging or
scratching the paint
, follow these simple steps:
  • Clean the decal and surrounding area with soapy, warm water
  • Use a hairdryer to heat up the decal’s glue
  • Use a credit card or something similar to get under the edge of the heated decal, which should peel right off
  • Use vinegar to remove the leftover residue
  • Wash and dry the area
  • Put a wax coating over it to protect the area
While your car insurance likely won’t cover the damage if you inadvertently damage the paint, you may want to consider adding comprehensive or collision coverage to your car insurance policy to protect your asset in the future. By signing up with insurance broker
