What’s the best way to take a car off your insurance policy? I bought a new car and need to remove my old car. How do I do that?

“To remove a car from your
car insurance
policy, you’ll need to contact your insurance company.
You can always call your insurance company and ask them to remove your vehicle. Alternatively, you may be able to remove your old car online or through your insurance company’s mobile app.
Do you have insurance for the
vehicle you just purchased
? If not, you’ll want to insure it right away. So instead of canceling your current insurance, why not just keep it active by adding your new vehicle at the same time you cancel your old one?
To add your new vehicle, you’ll need the vehicle’s identification number or VIN. If you don’t need to change coverage, the coverage on your old car will transfer over to your new vehicle.
If you’d rather shop around for better coverage at a better price, download the
Jerry
app. A licensed broker, Jerry does all the hard work of finding low-cost quotes from the top name-brand insurance companies and buying new car insurance. Jerry will even help you cancel your old policy.”
