How do I remove a car from GEICO insurance?

My son's car has become too expensive to insure with GEICO, although my partner and I are still insuring our cars with them. How can I remove a car from GEICO insurance?

You can remove a vehicle from your
GEICO
insurance policy by logging into the mobile app or online portal, or by calling a GEICO customer service representative. Here’s how:
  • In the app: If you’re using the GEICO app, you’ll want to navigate to “Manage your policy,” then select the vehicle you’d like to remove. Press the “I want to” option, then select “Remove vehicle.”
  • Online: As in the app, you can navigate to your policy information online by logging into GEICO’s online Policy Service Center. Once you’ve logged in, you’ll be able to view your insurance policy and make changes—including removing an unwanted vehicle. By phone: You can always call a GEICO representative 24/7 for help removing the vehicle from your policy.
There’s typically no cost to remove a vehicle from your insurance policy—in fact, you’ll likely see a decrease in the cost of your premium. But if you’re looking for cheaper insurance options in general, now could be a good time to
review your rates with other companies
Any time you make changes to your insurance policy, it’s worthwhile to shop around so you can ensure you’re getting the best price!
