How do I remove a Bluetooth device from a 2018 Honda Civic?

I got my last phone in 2018, the same year as my car. I haven’t touched the Bluetooth since then. I just bought a new phone and want to remove the old one. Could you tell me how to remove a Bluetooth device from a 2018 Honda Civic?

We hope you’re digging your new phone! And yes, we’re happy to show you how to remove a Bluetooth device from your 2018
Honda Civic
. It’s been a while since you’ve messed around with the Bluetooth in your car, but no worries, it’s really simple and straightforward.
Here are the steps you’ll follow:
  • Press the phone button on the right side of the infotainment screen
  • If you’re asked whether you want to add a new phone, use the scroll wheel beneath the phone button to select no
  • Select phone setup from the list of options
  • Select Bluetooth setup from this new list
  • Scroll down to the delete device option and select this
  • From this list, find the device you’d like to delete, highlight it, and press the select button
  • You’ll be asked to confirm your selection. If it looks right, click yes
That’s all there is to it! Your old device should now be removed from your 2018 Honda Civic. If you ever wanted to use that phone again, you’d need to pair it with your car all over again.
It’s worth noting that phones and other devices can sometimes have super vague, unhelpful names in the Bluetooth devices list. You might see your new phone and old phone both listed with something like “iPhone” or “Galaxy” or “Pixel”. This happens in most cars, even ones newer than your Civic.
You may find yourself doing trial and error to remove the correct phone, or simply removing all the devices and starting over from scratch. But we hope this isn’t the case for you. And we also hope this article has been useful and you’re able to get your old phone unpaired easily!
