To do so, you’ll need jumper cables and another car with a healthy battery. From there:
Turn both car engines off if they are running.
Connect one end of the positive jumper cable to the dead battery’s positive terminal. Then, connect the other end of the positive cable to the positive terminal of the good battery.
Connect the negative cable to the negative terminal of the good battery. Then, connect the other end of the negative cable to an unpainted metal surface on the frame of the dead car, preferably far away from the battery.
Turn on the healthy car and let your car’s battery charge for a few minutes.
Then, fire up your car.
Carefully disconnect the jumper cables in the reverse order of how you connected them.
Drive the jump-started car at least 20 minutes to recharge your battery.
