How do I protect my car from bird poop?

I usually have to park my car on the street below a tree. After a single day, it's covered with bird poop. I take it to be washed regularly, but the cost of those visits are adding up, and I'm getting frustrated. How can I protect my car from bird poop?

“That’s a frustrating dilemma, for sure. The best overall way to protect your car from bird poop is to park it in a covered area or away from trees or buildings, which will drastically decrease your chances of encountering birds.
Though bird poop may seem harmless, it can actually eat into your car’s paint, causing an
expensive paint job
as a result.
While this may be covered by your
comprehensive coverage
, parking somewhere else helps you avoid the hassle.
If you don’t have comprehensive coverage, and if you don’t have anywhere to park that’s not at risk, it might be a good idea to add comprehensive to your policy. One of the best ways to make sure you’re getting the best price on the coverage you need is through the
