How do I program my BMW garage remote?
I recently got a new garage door. My old door was set up with my BMW, but I don’t remember how I did it. How can I program my BMW garage remote?

Setting up your new garage door system may seem tricky, especially if it’s new. Thankfully, you can get your
BMW
garage remote properly programmed by following a few easy steps:- Move your BMW away from your garage. A few feet outside of it will do.
- With a ladder, climb up to the mechanism on your garage door and press the Learn button.
- Turn your BMW on, but do not start the engine.
- Hold down the HomeLink buttons 1 and 3 for about 10 seconds until the yellow light becomes green and blinks rapidly. Doing this will reset your system to clear your old garage door programming.
- Hold down 1 until the light turns yellow again and flashes slowly.
- Hold your remote three inches from the mirror and push the button you’d like to program.
- Let go of the button when the light blinks green again. Press the button one more time.
- Climb up to your garage door again and press Learn.
- Within 30 seconds of pressing the button, get back to your BMW and press the HomeLink 1 button on your mirror. You may want assistance with this step to avoid having to run around and potentially injuring yourself.
