How do I program my 2021 BMW garage door opener?
I could use some help figuring out the garage door opener in my 2021 BMW. I know it has one because the dealer said so. But I can’t figure out how to use it. How do I set it up?

) garage door opener. The garage door opener or HomeLink system is controlled by a few buttons on your BMW’s rear view mirror. First, locate the HomeLink buttons, and then you can begin programming them.
Here’s what to do:
- Get into your BMW and ensure all the doors are closed
- Choose which HomeLink button you want to program, then press and release it
- In a moment, the indicator light will begin flashing orange
- Hold your old garage door opener about 2 inches away from the HomeLink buttons
- Simultaneously press and hold the open button on your old garage remote and the HomeLink button that you’d like to program
- When the indicator light turns solid green, release both buttons
- Press and release the HomeLink button one more time to confirm the programming
Just like that, you’ve programmed the garage door opener in your 2021 BMW! Press the newly programmed HomeLink button once or twice to ensure that the programming has worked properly.
