Turn on your phone’s Bluetooth and then use the IntelliLink menu to pair and play music via Bluetooth in a GMC Yukon.
First, we recommend that you consult your owner’s manual. Depending on your model year and trim level, your GMC Yukon may not have Bluetooth capability. The pairing may also be slightly different depending on your specific vehicle.
If your car is equipped, here’s what you need to know.
Start by turning on your phone’s Bluetooth. This will allow your GMC to find your phone. Turning it ‘ON’ might not be enough. You may also have to make it discoverable to other devices.
Now, use the IntelliLink menu on the touchscreen to begin the pairing process. You can do this via voice commands or tapping the screen.
With voice commands, you can press the Push to Talk button and then say “Bluetooth.” Once it says “Bluetooth ready,” you can wait for the beep and then say “Pair.” At this point, it should appear on your phone’s Bluetooth list. Tap to connect. You may be asked to enter a code to verify the connection.
You may need to use the Phone icon to add a new device. It might say “Add phone,” “Pair device,” or “Connect phone.” It might display a plus sign.
With the infotainment screen, start by pressing the HOME button. Now tap the Phone icon and choose Search Device. Look in this list for your phone’s name.
You have a choice of options concerning access. If you want your vehicle to access and download your contacts, choose “Yes” or “Allow.” This enables you to use hands-free dialing.
To play the music, use the Audio button on the home screen. Here, you can select your phone as the audio source.
