How do I play music in my 2012 Ford Focus via Bluetooth?

So my new SUV is in the shop, and the only car the mechanic could lend me was an old Focus. Don’t get me wrong, I was miffed—but the kids can’t walk six miles in the snow to get to their clarinet lessons. They like to listen to their music on the way there, and I need the music in order to keep me calm during winter driving. How do I play music on my 2012 Ford Focus via Bluetooth

You’ll need to pair your smartphone with your 2012 Ford Focus’s Sync system in order to play music through the car’s sound system.
Thankfully, doing so is easy. To pair your smartphone to your 2012 Ford Focus in order to play music, just follow these steps:
  • First, going into your phone’s settings and turn Bluetooth on
  • Now, you’ll have to pair your smartphone with the Focus
  • Touch the phone button on your Ford’s touchscreen to add your phone
  • Go to Settings, tap Add to add your phone
  • You’ll see a four digit code on your car’s touchscreen—at the same time, you should be prompted by your phone to add a pin
  • Enter the pin from your Ford’s touchscreen onto your phone—your phone is now paired!
  • Choose how to play music—either from files on your phone, or your favorite streaming service
