Painting your wheel wells can protect against rust and reduce road noise. Here’s how to undercoat your wheel wells:
- First, remove the wheels and tape off the surrounding frame to prevent making a mess.
- Then, thoroughly clean the wheel wells to remove any dirt.
- Once it’s clean, it’s time to paint. Use a professional grade undercoating spray can.
- Spray two coats directly onto the wheel wells.
- Wait a few minutes between coats.
- You’ll want to let the undercoat sit for 72 hours before you drive your car again.
