Painting your wheel wells can protect against rust and reduce road noise. Here’s how to undercoat your wheel wells:
  • First, remove the wheels and tape off the surrounding frame to prevent making a mess.
  • Then, thoroughly clean the wheel wells to remove any dirt.
  • Once it’s clean, it’s time to paint. Use a professional grade undercoating spray can.
  • Spray two coats directly onto the wheel wells.
  • Wait a few minutes between coats.
  • You’ll want to let the undercoat sit for 72 hours before you drive your car again.
