How do I open the hood of a Toyota Sienna?

I got a check engine light a couple days ago. How do I open the hood to see what's up?

Opening your hood is a good first step when you see a check engine light. Here’s how to do it:
  • Release the hood lock by pulling the lever located on the driver’s side just above the emergency brake. The hood should pop up slightly.
  • Go to the front of your car and feel inside your hood for the catch lever to release and lift the hood.
  • Hold the hood open by inserting the support rod.
Whether you need an oil change or some kind of basic maintenance work, be careful and make sure to close the hood of your car completely when you’re done to protect your engine.
Another great way to keep your car safe is by having the right insurance. The Jerry app is really helpful if you want to revamp your insurance policy. Jerry will collect quotes for you from over 50 top insurance companies so you can compare rates and coverages for free.
