How do I open the hood of a Tesla Model Y
My family is taking our first vacation since investing in our new Tesla Model Y, so it’s my first time figuring out how to get the front trunk open. How do I pop the hood?

- Make sure your car is in park
- From your touch controls screen, navigate to the front trunk button and press open.
- Alternatively, you can click the front trunk button in your mobile app, or simply double-click the front trunk button on your key fob.
Any of these methods should open the front hood of your Model Y—from there, just lift the hood, prop it open (if need be), and you’re in! If you’re packing cargo into your front trunk, make sure it’s evenly distributed before driving off!
