Start by finding the black release lever on the lower-left kick panel in your Lincoln MKS
, just inside the driver’s-side door. In some models, it may be located underneath the dashboard, or else built right into the dashboard itself. You’ll need to pull this lever first, as it will pop the hood just enough for you to open the safety latch located directly above the grille. From there, you’ll have to push the hood down slightly in order to release the safety latch.
That’s it! The only thing left to do is stand the hood open with a prop rod (unless it stays open on its own) and get to work!
