How do I open the hood of a Lexus IS 350?
I’ve been noticing a strange noise coming from my Lexus IS 350, and I think it’s a problem with the air filter. How do I get under the hood to check it?

hood is equipped with two hood releases for safety—luckily, both are easy to locate and use, and the whole process should only take a minute or two!First, locate the hood release lever on the interior driver’s-side of your car, beneath the dashboard. Pull this lever to pop the hood a couple of inches (you should hear it open slightly when you do). Once you’ve released the hood, circle to the front of your Lexus and release the safety latch just under the hood.
From there, the hood should lift easily for you to check the air filter and perform any other maintenance required!
