How do I open the gas tank on a Volvo XC90 2022?
My dad is the proud owner of a new 2022 Volvo XC90 and he loves to call me up to talk about it. I figured today was no different than the usual new car swoon, but instead, he tells me he can’t get the gas tank open. He doesn’t drive much so he can wait until I can make it over there, so just so I’m prepared, how does the gas tank open for a Volvo XC90?

Sounds like your dad is really loving his new ride! It’s great that it turned out that way rather than dissatisfaction.
You and your dad will be happy to know the process to open the gas tank on a Volvo XC90 2022 is relatively simple. First and foremost, the car must be unlocked for you to access the gas tank.
Once ensuring all doors and compartments of the XC90 are unlocked, simply press on the rear side of the fuel door to release the locking latch and start fueling! If you’re not sure which side of the car the fuel door is on, you can look at the driver’s instrument display for an image of a gas tank.
There should be an arrow accompanying the image that tells you the side of the car containing the tank.
