How do I open the gas tank on a Volkswagen Jetta from 2014?

My wife is lending me her 2014 Volkswagen Jetta while my car is in the shop. I used it sparingly while she was gone, but I want to refill the tank so she doesn’t have to. I just can’t figure out how to open the gas tank. What do I need to do to access it?

Getting to the gas cap is different in various types of cars, so it’s not surprising that you’re having a bit of trouble! To open the gas tank on a Volkswagen Jetta from 2014, push firmly on the left-hand side of the fuel filler door.

Located on the rear passenger’s side of the vehicle, the fuel filler door is spring-loaded, which should open with a simple push. To lock the fuel filler door when you’re done, press on the door in the same place.
