How do I open the gas tank on a Nissan Versa?

I want to test drive a Nissan Versa this week, so I’m trying to learn as much as I can about owning and operating one. My simple question is this: what do I do to open the gas tank on a Nissan Versa?

Good for you for thoroughly researching a potential new car! Your simple question has a simple answer. To open the gas tank on a Nissan Versa:
  1. Locate the fuel-filler door release lever (it’s under the instrument panel and to the bottom left of the steering wheel.) The lever has a picture of a gas pump on it.
  2. Pull the lever toward you to pop the fuel-filler door open.
  3. Swing open the fuel-filler door so you can refuel. When you’re all done and you’ve tightened the gas cap, push the fuel-filler door closed.
