How do I open the gas tank on a Nissan Maxima from 2019?
I have a 2019 Nissan Maxima that I just bought off the lot from my local car dealer. While I love the car so far, I have an embarrassing issue: I have no idea how to open the gas tank! What do I need to do to open the gas tank on a 2019 Maxima?

A Nissan Maxima from 2019 doesn’t have any latches, levers, or buttons on the interior of the vehicle to open the gas tank, so you have to open the gas tank from the exterior, instead.
To open the gas tank on a 2019 Nissan Maxima, follow these steps:
- Put the Maxima in PARK and turn off the engine.
- Make sure that the car doors are unlocked.
- Go to the gas filler door on the rear driver’s side of the vehicle.
- Press firmly on the right-hand side of the gas filler door. It’s spring-loaded, so it should pop open with ease.
- When you’re done refueling, press the tank door in the same place to close it.
