How do I open the gas tank on a Honda Odyssey from 2019?
I just bought a 2019 Honda Odyssey. Embarrassingly, I have no idea how to open the gas tank, so I can’t really drive it until I figure it out. What do I need to do to open the gas tank on a 2019 Honda Odyssey?

Your confusion is understandable! The Honda Odyssey from 2019 has no buttons, levers, or latches inside the vehicle to open the gas tank, so it’s all a bit confusing to the uninitiated. To open the gas tank on a 2019 Honda Odyssey, follow these simple steps:
- Get out of the vehicle.
- Make sure the car doors are unlocked.
- Locate the fuel door above the left rear tire.
- Press the right-hand side of the gas tank door and the door should open.
The 2019 Honda Odyssey features a capless gas tank, so you don’t have to worry about unscrewing the gas cap when you go to the pump.
