I have a BMW M3 that I recently purchased. While I love it so far, I’m embarrassed by one thing: I have no idea how to pop open the gas tank. How do you open a gas tank on the BMW M3?

With no levers, buttons, or latches in the cabin, opening the gas tank on a BMW M3 is a bit confusing. Fortunately, it’s still easy! To open the gas tank on a BMW M3, follow these simple steps:

Turn off the car engine.
Make sure the doors are unlocked.
Go around to the rear passenger’s side of the vehicle.
Locate the fuel filler door.
Press firmly on the left-hand side of the fuel filler door and it will pop right open.
Push the fuel filler door in the same spot to close the door after you refuel.
