How do I open the gas tank on a 2022 Hyundai Tucson?
My 2022 Hyundai Tucson is great. I’ve never had a new car before so I feel absolutely treated…except I can’t figure out how to put gas in it. My previous cars just had a fuel door I could pull open but it doesn’t seem like pulling on the Tucson's fuel door is doing anything. How can I get this gas tank open?

- Pull the fuel door release lever which can be found inside the vehicle near the floor of your driver’s seat
- Go around to the side of your vehicle containing your gas tank and pull the fuel door the rest of the way open
- Turn the gas cap counterclockwise to open the tank so you can begin filling
Once you’re done filling your 2022 Tucson up with the
correct type of fuel
, screw the gas cap back on (clockwise this time) and shut the fuel door. Now you’re ready to hit the road again! View full answer
