How do I open the gas tank on a 2013 Audi A6?

My brother-in-law lent me his car while he and my sister are on vacation. All’s well so far, except I can’t find the gas tank. Where is it located on a 2013 Audi A6?

What a great brother-in-law! You can open the gas tank on a 2013
Audi A6
by following these steps:
  • When you’re at the gas station, first make sure your vehicle is off and unlocked.
  • Next, exit the vehicle, and locate the fuel door near the rear passenger side door of the A6.
  • Press and release the left corner of the fuel door. It should pop open easily.
  • You should see the gas tank cap inside. Just twist the cap counterclockwise to remove it.
  • Lastly, hitch it on the fuel door to keep it in place while refueling your vehicle.
That’s it! From there, you can fill up that A6. Just make sure that, when you’re done, you wait a few seconds for the rest of the fuel to drip into your gas tank. Then, simply twist the gas cap back on in a clockwise motion, and pop the fuel door back in place. Easy peasy!
Keep in mind that Audi recommends using Unleaded Premium gasoline. It may be pricey, but going with a lesser grade could lead to engine trouble down the line. That wouldn’t be a great way to say “thank you” to your brother-in-law, would it?
Have fun driving that A6!
