How do I open an Acura RSX hood?
How does the hood to an Acura RSX open? My windshield washer fluid alert came on and I need to fill up the canister but I’m a little ashamed to admit that I don’t know how to get my hood open.

Owning a car is a learning curve—it can be hard to know how to do anything until you actually have to do it. Happily, opening an Acura RSX hood is relatively easy! Here’s how you do it:
- Locate and pull the hood release lever in the lower left part of the driver’s side cabin.
- The hood should pop up slightly and you should be able to feel or see the safety latch preventing the hood from going all the way up.
- Press up on the safety latch to open the hood all the way.
- Locate the hood prop (it looks like a long stick) that will keep your hood in place while you work and insert it into its given space on the underside of your hood.
And that’s it! It may take some time to get used to the safety latch, but other than that, it’s pretty simple, right? Almost as simple as saving money on your car insurance with Jerry!
