My Volvo key fob died! What a bummer. I’ve got a replacement battery, I just can’t get the darn thing open. How do I open a Volvo key fob?

- Hold the key with the Volvo logo facing upward and toward you.
- Slide the button on the bottom edge of the key to the right.
- You’ll be able to lift the shell, exposing the battery cover.
- Use a screwdriver or similar tools to unscrew the battery cover.
With that done, you’ll be able to replace the dead battery with a fresh one.
